Our mission is to provide professional service in processing and disseminating public records to the general public, other law enforcement agencies and employees of the City of Doraville in an appropriate, courteous, and timely manner.
RECORDS DIVISION FUNCTIONS
The Records Division is responsible for the clerical duties for the Doraville Police Department. Their work involves general typing, filing, incoming and outgoing mail, open records requests, answering phone calls and answering questions. They work to provide other law enforcement agencies and the public with copies of accident and incident reports that are generated by our sworn personnel. The records division is also responsible for the processing, storage, retrieval and effective management of police reports. In addition, the records department is responsible for issuing various permits that the city require.
PUBLIC REPORTS
The public and other law enforcement agencies may obtain reports from our office at the Police Department Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., excluding holidays. Copies of all police reports are $5.00, in the form of cash, money order/cashiers check or company check, (no personal check accepted). Credit cards are also an accepted form of payment. All reports are available within 3 to 5 business days, after the day it was made.
