Open Records

The Georgia Open Records Act (O.C.G.A. §50-18-70 through §50-18-77) establishes the right of every citizen to inspect and receive a copy of all public records, except those specifically exempt from being open. When the City receives a record request under the Open Records Act, it must comply with guidelines established in the law:

The City of Doraville shall determine if the requested records are subject to access and are public documents as defined by the Georgia Open Records Act.

You may submit an Open Records Request to the Doraville Police Department by phone at 770.458.7655, in person with the Records Coordinator at 3750 Park Ave. Doraville, Georgia, or by submitting the online Public Records Request form below:

FOR LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCIES ONLY:

Publicly employed law enforcement officers requesting records as part of a law enforcement investigation, please submit your request online by clicking below.  If this request involves an employee background investigation, please make sure to include the applicant’s signed release form.
