911 Communications Center

The current 911 Communication center was established in June of 2005. This state of the art communications center serves the citizens of Doraville with innovation and professionalism.

The 911 Communications center provides quality service utilizing an enhanced digital radio system and a Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) System that interfaces with mobile computers located in the patrol cars. The CAD system allows our officers to recieve calls for service through silent dispatch. The communications center personnel are responsible for communicating with the officers, as well as the public, to relay information to ensure a proper response from the police department. Since the inception of the 911 Center, the average officer response time has been cut to approximately 90 seconds. Communications personnel are also responsible for GCIC/NCIC entries and warrant verifications from other law enforcement agencies.
